Discovery

When? Today, morning before going to campus.

Where? In front of our door.

What? A kiwi plant bearing lots of fruit!


"Eh, apa benda tu b? Buah ke?"
"Nampak macam kiwi lah b!!" (sementelah cek baru je potong kiwi bawak bekal ke sekolah)
"Betul ke kiwi? Apasal selama ni tak perasan pun?" (dasar mulut tak reti diam)
"Hah, ni la Ejad terpijak semalam", kata si suami. Oh ok, sah kiwi.

Ejad: "Eby nih, pokok pun nak ambik gambar. Nak gi opis ke tak nak ni?"

Ayu: "Nak pergi lah, kejap2. Alang2 dah lambat, biar lambat kaw-kaw. Hehe.."

Lazy Sunday dinner

Spring chicken marinated with salt+apple cider vinegar (250'C, 25mins), blended tomato+bird eye chilies+garlic+sugar+lemon juice, & salad+carrot+steamed broccoli
Eaten with spiced basmati rice

I should tell you, my dinner was very, very good. :D

Obese

Siang tadi pergi ke klinik, kat sini tak panggil klinik. Dia panggil surgery. Seram kan nak bagitau orang "aku pergi Dr Ko surgery jap pagi tadi".. Oh, berbalik pada point asal, nak cerita yang kitorang laki bini pergi klinik tu sebab ada appointment dengan nurse untuk initial check-up. Ini prosedur biasa untuk new patients.

Dear husband masuk dulu, lepas dia keluar je, muka senget2 bagitau "nurse kata Ejad kena lose weight, blood pressure Ejad pun tinggi sikit". OMG. This is not good. Kalau aku yang masuk nanti lagi berbakul la dengar "you have to lose weight. You are overweight, yada yada"

Sekalii.. Betul pun. Hehhehe.. Perkara pertama kena buat adalah naik atas weighing scale. Boleh pengsan ok. Pengsan. Berat memang berat. Tapi bila nurse tu beriya2 check BMI, tu yang tak best tu. "You see, where the arrow points to? Because you're not so tall, you're in obese category. Your ideal body weight is... 54kg". Ye ye, tau...... Hish.

"You need to lose weight. Maybe you should aim to lose 1/2 a stone in a month? Well, you should do more exercise & change your diet. More fruits & vegetables, okay? So, what do Malaysians usually eat? Is Malaysian food similar to Chinese?"

Wahahah. Ko sabar je lah. Dia salahkan makanan Malaysia pulak. Anyway, dia dah cakap siang2, next appointment, dia nak tengok penurunan berat badan. Tetiba takut ok. Takut. Ada pulak orang yang nak monitor body weight kita. Nak lunch lepas tu pun rasa bersalah. Tiba2. ;p

Nurse ada pesan suruh masak guna minyak rapeseed & olive oil. Olive oil, checked. Rapeseed tu apa? Oh, rupa2nya canola oil. Memang dah guna la misi oii, kitorang ni gemuk sebab tak excercise je. Bukan sebab makan butter/ghee hari2 tau.

Disebabkan semangat nak eat healthily sedang membara, maka inilah dinner malam ini:

Sup ayam with loads of veges
Nak kasi umph sikit, nah kau sambal kicap
Kot2 tak cukup veges, nah kau serba makneka daun2. Kalau nurse tadi tengok, gerenti dia approve.  :D
